DEATH WITHOUT MERCY is a poignant exploration of the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria in 2023, experienced through the eyes of two Syrian families desperately searching for their loved ones in the aftermath over the course of ten harrowing days directed by Oscar® nominated director Waad Al-Kateab (FOR SAMA).


We are thrilled to announce the broadcast/streaming launch date for this moving documentary is out on the two year anniversary of the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria in 2023 exclusively on Paramount+ with Showtime. This release is so timely not only because of the 2-year anniversary but also in light of current world events.


Director Waad Al-Kateab is not only an award-winning filmmaker, but an activist whose groundbreaking work has garnered international acclaim and sparked critical conversations about the Syrian Civil War and the human cost of conflict. Her work continues to inspire and mobilize people around the world to take action against injustice and to support those who are most vulnerable.


DEATH WITHOUT MERCY made its World Premiere at this year’s 2024 Sheffield DocFest to strong responses and ovations.


The film is distributed by MTV Documentary Films and will broadcast on Paramount+ with Showtime now streaming!
