Negotiations between the Golden Knights and Jonathan Marchessault's camp are expected to begin "within the next week" according to a report from NHL Network/Fourth Period's David Pagnotta. The report came out after Marchessault said last week that he has had no discussions with the team. Pagnotta said he was told by the Golden Knight's that "it's a priority to lock in Marchessault to a new contract." Pagnotta also reported that discussions with Chandler Stephenson would begin soon.
