The Golden Knights opened the preseason with a 4-2 win over the Sharks in San Jose. Very few VGK regulars made the trip. Bruce Cassidy inserted the fourth line as his top line with Brett Howden centering for Tanner Pearson and Keegan Kolesar. That line produced half of the Golden Knights goals - Howden on a breakaway and Pearson with an empty netter late that secured the win. Also scoring for VGK were Callahan Burke and Tuomas Uronen. VGK plays its preseason home opener Wednesday against the Kings. We talk about a tongue-in-cheek quote by VGK's Logan Thompson and fan reaction.
