Dillon Dingler’s RBI and Parker Meadows' sacrifice fly brought in the crucial runs for Detroit. Brant Hurter secured his fourth win of the season by pitching 5.1 solid innings, allowing only one earned run while Jason Foley closed the game to earn his 21st save. The Athletics' lone run came in the fifth inning off a single from Kyle McCann, but their efforts fell short as they managed only six hits throughout the game. With this victory, the Tigers improve to a 72-71 record, maintaining their hunt for a .500 season.
