Sweep under carpet 

 If you sweep something under the carpet, it means you hide a problem instead of dealing with it. It’s used when people ignore uncomfortable truths or avoid discussing serious issues.

Examples:

1- The company knew about the safety issues in their factory, but instead of fixing them, they swept the problem under the carpet until a major accident happened.

2- A famous tech company discovers that its latest phone model has a major defect. Instead of admitting the problem, they pretend it doesn’t exist and quietly remove bad reviews online.
