On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jacob Winans(@JacobWinans8) to the show to break down the Panthers' 2-1 shootout win over the Seattle Kraken, where it was controlled played for the Panthers for most of the contest. It took almost two full periods before the Panthers solved Joey Daccord on the night on a sweet one-timer from captain Aleksander Barkov. Seattle played tight in their own end, keeping the Cats to the perimeter and limiting second chance opportunities. Florida was able to defend the Kraken counter attack for most of the evening, but It was once again Head Coach Paul Maurice pulling the right strings that helped shift the momentum with changing up the lines just before the Panthers tied the game. The Head Coach also called a key timeout in the overtime period to help get his stars the needed rest before taking the ice again. Mackie Samoskevich continues to show growth where he started the night on the fourth line, moved his way up to the third, and got key minutes in OT. The Panthers are a week removed from losing in a dominant effort against the Penguins to winning in a dominant effort against Seattle, but the team regardless does not go away from their winning formula in physical hard forechecking style of play.
