Description
Good evening, Boston! This is your weather update for the next few days, and buckle up because we've got quite the winter rollercoaster ahead.

Today, expect a chilly day with isolated snow showers after 10 am. Temperatures will hover around 35 degrees Fahrenheit, with winds shifting from north to east throughout the afternoon. There's a slight 20 percent chance of precipitation, so keep those winter jackets handy.

Tonight is where things get interesting. We're looking at a high probability of snow and freezing rain before midnight, transitioning to snow overnight. Temperatures will dip to around 30 degrees Fahrenheit, with east winds between 10 to 14 miles per hour. Pro tip: you might want to expect about an inch of snow accumulation.

Thursday brings a mix of rain and snow, tapering off by early afternoon. Temperatures will climb to a mild 45 degrees Fahrenheit, with winds doing a little dance from east to west. By Thursday night, we'll clear up to partly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping to a crisp 23 degrees Fahrenheit.

Friday looks sunny but cold, with a high near 31 degrees Fahrenheit and west winds gusting up to 28 miles per hour. Friday night will be mostly cloudy and even cooler.

The weekend gets interesting again. Saturday afternoon might bring snow, and Saturday night looks wet with a chance of rain and snow mixing. Sunday continues the precipitation party, starting with a rain and snow mix that turns to all rain by mid-morning.

Washington's Birthday (Monday) offers a break with mostly sunny skies and a high near 27 degrees Fahrenheit. Monday night will be mostly clear and quite cold, with temperatures dropping to around 7 degrees Fahrenheit.

Tuesday rounds out our forecast with mostly sunny conditions and a high of 25 degrees Fahrenheit.
