Scapegoat 

 is a person who is unfairly blamed for a problem, even when others are responsible.

Examples:

1- After the company’s sales dropped, instead of admitting their strategy failed, the managers made one employee the scapegoat and fired him.

2- I forgot to take the trash out, so I blamed my little brother. He became my scapegoat!
