A Brief Country: The Republic of Canada
Description
While Canada is a constitutional monarchy today with a parliament, there was a brief Republic of Canada for a few months in 1837 and 1838. Its story is one of rebellion, open war with the British and some very poor planning. Oh, and there is also a bank and president and more!
