Ottawa's Gangs Of New York Era: The Shiners War
Published 3 years, 6 months ago
Description
For a few years in the 1830s, Ottawa was a very different place. Called Bytown at the time, it was more a Gangs of New York type of place, rather than a future capital of Canada. During the reign of terror of the Shiners, no one was safe from violence.
