step on it 很多人都會翻譯成「踩在上面」，這其實是錯誤的。這個慣用語的意思是「請開快點」，用來催促司機開車快點。這裡的 it 可以看成是「油門」，就是要趕緊踩油門。也可以說 Please step on the gas. 或 Please go faster.。
