I also want to remind everyone about my inspiring novel, THE LOST: A STORY of CHRISTMAS. As I have said before, it is a perfect book to read this time of year. I wrote it to ENCOURAGE BELIEVERS to LIVE for Jesus every day.

I also want to thank my friend Pablo Hernandez for letting me set up an outreach in from of his store out there in La Mesa last Saturday. I was promoting my show and my book, but really was there to share the Gospel. His Wife and Kids were great, and together we handed out almost 400 Million Dollar Gospel Tracts. Friends, I am definitely feeling the Christmas Spirit out there, and we really need to take full advantage of the opportunities the Lord gives us to spread the Gospel and go about doing good to shine the light of Jesus.

Since it’s that special time of year, We MUST remember the beautiful details of Jesus’s birth, and the Prophecies He fulfilled, and the astonishing Promises be brought to all those who believe. He is the light come into the world, and the life of humanity, Our atoning Sacrifice and our Mighty King, and so He is worthy of our adoration. And so let’s honor Him by reading through this remarkable account.

Now we don’t know for certain what day Jesus was born on, and of course much has been written about the pagan influence on selecting Dec 25th.

The actual Gospel accounts offer evidence based on the months mentioned that Jesus could have been born somewhere around October, which would be interesting because often The Feast of Trumpets comes in October, which is the beginning of the seventh month and the Jewish Civil Year. This ushers in the Sabbatical month, and if it also happens to be the Year of Jubilee, there is added significance because The Year of Jubilee, which comes every 50 years, RELEASES everyone from all debts, and returns all property sold for debts back to the original owner. This day would be celebrated with the blowing of trumpets, like an announcement, which of course Christ deserves.

Yom Kippur, the Jewish Sacred Day of Atonement, also often comes in October. Of course Jesus is the Ultimate sacrifice puts an end to all other sacrifices for sin and death. And so how appropriate would it be for Jesus to be born on either of these days?

Remember, Jesus not only KEPT the Law, but EMBODIED the law. He was that sacrificial Lamb Slain for all our sins on Passover Day to ultimately fulfill this Jewish Observance on behalf of the whole world.

And so, people may dispute about the ACTUAL birth day of Jesus, and whether we should boycott this apparently PEGAN affiliated holiday, I believe that in spite of these discrepancies, God had USED out RICH Christmas Traditions to tell the g
