In October 1996, Auckland police would be called upon to investigate the horrific murder of 21 year old Natacha Hogan. 6 days later, the New Zealand Herald would receive a letter referencing Hogan's murder; marking the start of the infamous reign of New Zealand's First Serial Killer, Hayden Poulter.
