Cardinals Cover 2 - The Fight Was There, The Win Was Not Against 49ers
Ep. 711 - One thing is guaranteed about the 2023 Arizona Cardinals: They will compete. And they will compete until the clock shows triple zeros. Unfortunately, when that happened on Sunday, the Cardinals were on the wrong end of a 45-29 decision to the visiting San Francisco 49ers. Craig Grialou and Paul Calvisi - yes, he’s back - look back at the Week 15 loss. The offense was good, at times, i.e., James Conner and Trey McBride, but field goals were not going to beat the 49ers; though Matt Prater did earn the coveted Angry Bird Award for the week. Defensively, just too much Brock Purdy and too much Christian McCaffrey. Too much of the time it just looked too easy for the, once again, NFC West division winners.
