David Gillespie is a polymath. That is, he knows a lot about a lot. He has a voracious appetite for learning and a few years ago, when all of his six kids(!) were in school, he did a deep dive into the educational system in Australia, in an effort to gainer a clearer understanding of how it all worked, or in some instances, didn't work. Among other things, one of the outcomes of his investigation is the amazing charity he set up (with the help of many incredible teachers); freeschool.org.au. It is a totally free resource created to help Australian students and it's built around the current curriculum (2024), for students undertaking years 7 to 12. This chat went far and wide and was a little longer than usual (for David). Enjoy.
