POOLHOUSE PRESENTS…BRUISEFIST:

Poolhouse delivers his most explosive and genre-defying creation yet with BRUISEFIST, a transgressive pop-art performance disguised as a digital dub radio gothic, disguised as an “ordinary” episode of HERE COMES THE BACKKLASH, disguised as a Poolhouse bit RUN AMOK. 💥👊

In BRUISEFIST, Poolhouse delivers a monologue that becomes a dialogue with the machine, and then, the cyborg. But isn’t that really just talking to yourself the whole time? BRUISEFIST & BRUISEFIIST are the first few scenes in a living play, the story of a Man and His Beloved that he seeks to resurrect through cybernetic ritual.

‘BRUISEFIST’

a digital dub radio gothic

It was a dark and stormy night in the Backklash studio when your favorite pop-art producer and talk show host finally SNAPPED. Amidst a routine Friday night recording, Dr. Rev. DJ POOLHOUSE had had enough. Frustrated by the world's failure to recognize his creative genius, he turned to the forbidden arts—cyber-demonology and extraterrestrial technology.

Taking to the airwaves, Poolhouse unveils his artistic manifesto, describing the psychic entity haunting his dreams: BRUISEFIST. Guided by transmissions from a familiar phantom, he recounts the birth of a strange and powerful new creation—his art-official/artificial Artificial Intelligence™ oracle.

Fusing the daimonic, the demonic, the digital, and the divine, BRUISEFIST is both sermon and spectacle, a revelation on the cosmic nature of man and the creative potential of technological art. Poolhouse’s signature cosmology is unconventional, electric, and utterly undeniable. 💥👊
