IN POLITICAL NEWS
1) President Trump is kicking ass and cleaning house at U.S. AID agencies that did not immediately follow his executive orders. Good. Clean out this viper's nest. We don't need to spend that money anyway. He also ordered the DoD to build an "Iron Dome" missile defense system such as Israel has (that used Ronald Reagan's SDI tech). Trump also issued an executive order banning chemical castration and medical mutilation of minors and said the nation will no longer support or promote "gender affirming" phony "care."
2) Over 50 USAID employees put on leave pending investigation into "insubordination." Good. Dump them all. Meanwhile, President Trump is offering a "deferred resignation" severance package to all 2 million fed employees, presumably before he can fire most of them.
3) The Trump effect, as Senator Gary Peters of MI won't run again. Now, be forewarned: this is a VERY tough seat to flip. We lost with both James and Rogers, but their best replacement, Witless Protection (Gretchen Witmer) is NOT running. Opens this up for a real MAGA Republican.
4) A judge has put a temporary hold on Trump's freeze on federal loans, grants, etc. He is too far ahead of them, too fast. He is turning out EOs and policies faster than they can block or stop them.
5) Scott Bessent was confirmed easily as Treasury Secretary. I like the guy, but you know when the margin is this big, he's probably not a disruptor. Case in point: the Wall Street Journal came out against RFK, Jr.
6) The CDC has been ordered to cease collaboration with the WHO immediately. You know, the WHO, not the . . . you know.
7) Republicans have taken the voter registration lead in Nevada. Big. Pennsylvania only about 150,000 registrations away---and
