“Go no farther. There is nothing in this cave worth dying for”. Those were the words printed on the sign at the entrance of an underwater cave in Vortex Spring. Despite this warning, many divers fail to heed these words, including Ben McDaniel. On August 18, 2010, Ben ventured into the cave only to never surface again. His disappearance has left many confused as even the most experienced divers could not recover Ben’s body.
