The mind is like water. When it’s turbulent, it’s difficult to see anything but the turbulence. When it’s calm, everything becomes clearer.

When the world feels like an emotional roller coaster, steady yourself with simple rituals. Simplicity attracts calm.  Quiet your mind by really focusing on the simple tasks you are doing like the dishes, folding the laundry, watering the plants, enjoying your meal.  

Breathwork is another way to take control of your anxiety.  The simple act of breathing in and breathing out with intention and focus really helps calm your mind.  You could repeat “Breathing in I calm my body and mind. Breathing out I let go of stress and worry.”

Calmness really is a human superpower. The ability not to overreact or to carry the burden of the world is necessary for your mental health. Keep your mind clear and your heart at peace.
