Supernatural: The Girl With The Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo (7x20) | Recap & Lore

Season 7 Episode 20 Published 1 year, 9 months ago
Description

Supernatural Season 7, Episode 20, The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo recap 🎲 Charlie Bradbury (Felicia Day) rides in on a yellow Vespa, and the boys pull off an Ocean’s Eleven heist on Dick Roman (James Patrick Stuart) on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast.

Bobby finally lays out what the Leviathans are up to, and it makes the whole season click. Then the boys learn someone is hacking Frank’s hard drive from inside Dick Roman’s headquarters. The hacker is a Hermione-loving, Walking-on-Sunshine-dancing coder with a very specific tattoo.

Episode Highlights:

  • Rufus’s cabin from the outside (was that new?), and Bobby’s two-minute monologue that explains everything
  • A message from Frank, and the hosts’ theory about where the actor went
  • Charlie's super PAC skim and hookup at a reproductive rights fundraiser (“pictures or it didn’t happen”)
  • Dick tells Charlie she’s impossible to copy, then tells Pete he’s very copyable (blood splooge #58)
  • Sam and Dean douse themselves in borax to prove they aren’t Leviathans
  • Sam’s Hermione pep talk, and a nod to Kim Manners
  • Dean coaches Charlie through flirting with a security guard, plus the tattoo that explains the title
  • Dick’s very 2012 password, Ocean’s Eleven split screens, baggage handler costumes, and “Who would do that?”
  • Ghost Bobby in Dick’s building, and a Vulcan salute goodbye

Both hosts loved the Ocean’s Eleven spy vibe and Felicia Day’s Charlie, and LA spent the whole episode begging them not to kill her. They’re still mad about Frank. Berly thought Dick looked hot getting his ass kicked by an invisible ghost, and she finally spotted the fake teeth James Patrick Stuart told the hosts about in his Cameo.

In the lore segment, LA covers SGBI’s “Can AI Ever Truly Replicate Human Intelligence?” Just as Dick can’t copy Charlie, AI can’t replicate the parts of us that matter most: emotional intelligence, the subtleties of language, adapting to the unexpected, and real empathy. Plus a McKinsey report estimating that 400 to 800 million people could lose jobs to automation in the next 15 years. Fun!

“She’s kind of the little sister I never wanted.” – Dean

Your turn, hunters: What tattoo would you show the guard? And should the boys have let Bobby anywhere near Dick’s building? Tell us in the Spotify comments, leave a rating and review on Apple Podcasts (it’s how new hunters find us), or send us fan mail. Bonus points for fandom fun facts we missed.
