Episode 461: Some of the kneejerk reaction to DeepSeek has already subsided but I want to make the point that advances in disruptive technology is ALWAYS a good thing and shouldn’t come as a surprise. If DeepSeek is as good as they say, then it will dramatically increase the adoption of AI and strain the electrical grid faster than anticipated. Just as the adoption of affordable air conditioning drastically changed society, a lower cost version of AI will spur consumption.
