Reflection of the week: looking back and looking forward.

Last Tuesday, we held an online event to explore the energetic dynamics of the Rave New Year for 2025. I shared with participants a personal habit I had developed during the days when Ra illuminated us with his Rave New Year analyses: I would revisit the previous year’s talk to reflect on how the energy had unfolded. Looking forward, the mind can only speculate or imagine how these energetic mechanisms might manifest. However, looking backward allows us to address the facts.

We spent about an hour examining the energetic blueprint of 2024 and reflecting on how it played out. What emerged was a sense of global entanglement in regressive adaptation, coupled with a pronounced tendency toward polarization. This is particularly striking given that, in these final years of the Cross of Planning, we are witnessing the gradual unraveling of global structures: deglobalization, the breakdown of socio-economic frameworks, and a retreat from tribal interconnectedness. These movements are part of a larger spiral preparing humanity for a shift in consciousness—one that, as Ra noted, no one will be truly ready for. The mechanics of Human Design teach us that this shift will be shocking, and a defining characteristic of shock is the absence of any prior reference point.

Looking ahead to 2025, we find ourselves facing a very different energetic configuration—one that is oriented toward impactful change and stirs strong emotions. Revolutionary nostalgia is palpable, reflected in the slogans of prominent political movements. Meanwhile, society's polarization is set to deepen, with the potential to manifest in heightened anger.

Each year’s energetic blueprint reminds us of the importance of learning to witness and disidentify from the emotional frequencies that often run our lives unconsciously. Personally, I’ve observed just how strong this tendency is in my own experience. The n
