“For us, coffee was such an essential part of those trips. We would even think about, while planning the trip, 'Okay, where are we going to drink coffee? Where's the spot going to be?"
Alexander Häberlin loves a good cup of coffee. So much so that it was often the sole focus of outdoor adventures. Where would they drink the coffee? What did they need to pack for it? Along with his partner Phillipe, the duo set out to ensure those adventure coffee’s were as tasty and convenient as possible. This led to No Normal Coffee, a coffee paste in a tube that you can eat on its own or add water and drink. The product's success has come quickly, and now the team is looking to get into as many hands as possible. For those who love coffee and the outdoors, No Normal Coffee is banking on their product being exactly what they want.
“We wanted to create a product that works in those moments when things are exciting, challenging, and not normal—because an adventure is only an adventure if it’s not normal. We wanted a coffee that’s just as ready for the unexpected as the people who use it."
It was a great chat with Alexander and really fun to learn about the business. There are so many interesting challenges he mentioned and I hope you enjoy the chat as much as I did!
