“Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.””

Pray without ceasing.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

Psalm 55:17

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬-‭11‬

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days. Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.”

JESUS TEACHING ON PRAYER EMPHASIZES INDIVIDUAL PRAYER BY PRECEPT AND EXAMPLE

Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭6‬

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”

“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬

“Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14‬:‭23‬

“And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.”

WHILE WE ARE TO APPRECIATE THE PRAYERS OF OTHERS FOR US LET US LEARN TO PRAY FOR OURSELVES‼️ THE COLOSSIANS HAD A PRAYER WARRIOR PRAYING FOR THEM BUT PAUL URGED THEM TO PRAY

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬

“Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬

“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;”

SAMUEL HAD A PRAYING MOTHER BUT HE WAS NOT CONTENT WITH THAT HE BECAME A PRAYER WARRIOR IN HIS OWN RIGHT

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭99‬:‭6‬

“Moses and Aaron were among His priests, And Samuel was among those who called upon His name; They called upon the Lord, and He answered them.”

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭7‬:‭8‬

“So the children of Israel said to Samuel, “Do not cease to cry out to the Lord our God for us, that He may save us from the hand of the Philistines.””

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭12‬:‭18‬-‭19‬

SIMON PETER WAS BLESSED TO HAVE THE SAVIOR PRAY FOR HIM BUT JUST BECAUSE CHRIST HAD PRAYED FOR HIM, IT DID NOT MEAN THAT HE DID NOT NEED TO PRAY

Luke 22:31-32

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

THIS SAME JESUS WHO PRAYED FOR PETER HAS PRAYED FOR US AND INTERCEDING FOR US SAYS WE NEED TO PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

John 17:20-21

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word…

Hebrews 7:25

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
