- President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team shared official portraits of Trump and VP-elect JD Vance days before their inauguration. The portrait of Trump looks a little like his famous mugshot.
- The House on Thursday passed the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act authored by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC). The bill was passed, but it was opposed by 145 Democrats.
- Progressive Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., said the bill "does absolutely nothing to address the needs of the American people."
