The life and times of Bob Uecker _1934-2025_

Dave Michaels, DFW sports journalist, joins me for a chat about Bob Uecker who passed away today. Once upon a time,

Bob Uecker played baseball. My guess is that most of us remember him as the radio voice of the Milwaukee Brewers and one of those funny baseball movies. As a major league catcher (1962-67), Uecker hit .200 in 297 games (217 starts), 146 hits, 14 HR and 74 RBI. He played with Milwaukee and then backed Tim McCarver in the 1964 World Series. In 1971, he came home to be the radio & TV voice of the Brewers.
