Description
Good morning, Chicago! It's your weather buddy here with a chilly update that'll make you want to reach for your warmest layers.

Buckle up for a frigid forecast that's about to turn the Windy City into the Freezing City! We're looking at temperatures that'll make even your coffee want to put on a sweater. Overnight, we're dipping down to a bone-chilling 15 degrees, with wind chill values plummeting to near minus 1 degrees Fahrenheit. Those west winds are no joke, gusting up to 25 miles per hour - so bundle up, folks!

Monday brings us a sunny day, but don't get too excited. We're talking a high of only 20 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill values dropping to minus 5 degrees. Those westerly winds will continue to whip around at about 15 miles per hour.

The cold continues through Tuesday, with sunny skies but temperatures struggling to reach a whopping 16 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill values will be dancing around minus 7 degrees - perfect weather for hot cocoa and indoor activities!

Some relief is on the horizon. By Thursday, we'll see temperatures climbing to a practically tropical 36 degrees Fahrenheit. And by Friday, we might even hit 40 degrees with mostly sunny skies. But don't put away those winter boots just yet - Friday night brings a chance of mixed rain and snow.

Weekend forecast looks like a roller coaster of cold, with Saturday staying cloudy and cool, and Sunday bringing us back to partly sunny skies with a high of 19 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pro tip: Layer up, Chicago! Multiple thin layers are your best defense against this arctic assault.
