Description

“You’ve got to take certain risks, because my priority is in acting not in movie stardom.”

– Gary Sinise

This is a craft for me. I don’t see another career path or even going back to being in an elementary classroom.

This isn’t some way for me to chase fame. I’m not doing this to become rich.

I care about acting as an art form. Which means I cherish it as such. That also means I have respect for other forms of art and others having the space to do their thing. I want everyone to create dope stuff and get better every day at creating dope stuff.

I care about growing in my craft. Which means I do what I can to cultivate the soil of my craft. I put in the work to find ways to grow and put myself in an environment that helps that growth. And I want the same for others.

I don’t do this to make money just for the sake of making money. Money is fleeting. Chasing money only leads to feeling like you don’t have enough.

But you better believe I’m getting paid. I don't do this just for the hell of it. I know my time is worth money. I know what I do is worthy of a respectable pay rate and I move accordingly.

I do this because I love it.

I do this because I have to.

I do this because what else am I going to do?

From the outside, it may look like I’m taking big risks. But from my view, I’m just doing what makes sense. Each move is well thought out. I’m doing what feels right to me.

My focus isn’t on what others think. My focus is on how I feel about what I’m doing, right now, at this moment. But trust me, there’s a plan. It’s not recklessness.
