Good morning, Columbus! This is your weather update for today.
We've got a chilly winter day ahead with some snowy surprises. Expect a high near 26 degrees Fahrenheit with calm winds that will gradually shift to the south at 5 to 7 miles per hour in the afternoon. There's a 40 percent chance of snow, mainly after 2 pm, with a possible light dusting of less than half an inch.
Tonight, things get interesting! We're looking at continuous snow before 4 am, with temperatures dropping to around 22 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect between 1 to 3 inches of fresh powder, so keep those snow shovels ready.
Saturday brings a slight chance of morning snow, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 28 degrees Fahrenheit. West winds will be blowing at 7 to 11 miles per hour.
Looking ahead, we'll see a mix of partly sunny and mostly cloudy days with temperatures hovering in the low to low-mid 30s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be particularly chilly, with highs around 16 to 18 degrees Fahrenheit.
