You can think about the decisions you made and turn them over in your mind 1 million times. You can play out possible scenarios, but really when it comes down to it, you have to live with it and move forward. Every decision brings with it some good, some bad, and some luck.  All bring lessons to be learned.

It’s easy to look back at an something and see a better choice or pathway because you already learned from your experience.  Don’t let new wisdom lead you to condemn yourself. You did the best you could with what you knew at the time. 

Yes, some of your decisions may hurt people you love, or change the trajectory of your life. But why would you beat yourself up for not knowing the lesson before you learned it?  You are only adding shame to a bad decision, it can't change the outcome.
Forgive yourself and move forward with your new information. Do better.
