Happy new year! I'm happy to bring you the first episode of 2025, and I'm glad to have Joe Gillespie joining me. Joe is the writer over at WriteAndLift. We are discussing a theme that runs through a few of his pieces there (I'm Not Religious, I'm Just Spiritual and Main Character Syndrome), and that is the culture of narcissism that is rampant in our modern society. Because of social media, we see it much more often than we should. Two ways it manifests are with something called "main character syndrome" and the "spiritual, not religious" folks. Joe and I dive into what this is all about and how to avoid it, if at all possible. Joe gets into the deeper spiritual goals of fitness as well!
