Matthew Szalecki is a licensed real estate broker with Keller Williams Preferred Realty in Raleigh, NC and a home builder.  He founded Family Building Company alongside his father with a mission of creating more affordable and attainable homeownership opportunities. Matthew and FBC build approximately 100 new homes each year in the Triangle, NC market  at an average price of ~$265,000, which is roughly half of the average new home price in the market. In 2024, he debuted a first-of-its-kind First-Time Homebuyer Program designed to direct cooperative money from mortgage, title, attorney, and real estate partners to first-time home buyers.  Matthew is also on the Board of Directors for the Triangle Real Estate Investors Association. Prior to building homes, Matthew served in multiple senior leadership positions with eXp Realty, Fathom Realty, and Keller Williams, and has been an Inman News contributing author since 2019. Outside of real estate, Matthew is a father, husband, musician, and hot dog connoisseur.
