#42: In this episode, Emily dives into her personal spending strategies revolving around money dials, a concept she learned from Ramit Sethi, author of "I Will Teach You To Be Rich". For as long as we've learned how to earn money, we've only been taught how to save money--whether that is 10-30% per paycheck or just being mindful of having a savings account for a "rainy day" or for future investments. But interestingly, it's not as common to talk about HOW to SPEND money. The concept of money dials may be a more strategic way for you to spend money and spend it where you love without caring about the judgement of others on how you choose to utilize your finances.
