Hey everyone, I’m Mike, she’s Sophie, and that’s Brenda, and we’re On the Road with Mickey! This is Season 2, Episode 29 for July 19, 2021, and our feature topic today is The Super Six, Part 1. For today’s pod, we’re taking a look at what we call The Super Six — Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto. Here’s our rundown of what we talked about:

• Cheddar from the Big Cheese
  • Mike: Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Refurbishment Updates:
    • The Partner’s Statue is going to be refurbished in time for the 50th Anniversary starting on October 1st.
    • Goofy’s Barnstormer is getting a fresh coat of paint
    • Beauty & the Beast Castle is being repainted.
    • Storybook Circus is getting 50th Anniversary Updates
    • Painting continues on the roofs of Fantasyland in preparation for the 50th Anniversary.
  • Sophie: Fireworks Cruises have returned at Walt Disney World! You can book a cruise to see the fireworks for either Happily Ever After fireworks or to see Epcot Forever fireworks. Cost is $399 per cruise. Reach out to us if you are interested in looking into reserving a fireworks cruise!
  • Brenda: Minnie’s Halloween Dine is coming to Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting August 10! The Halloween Dine, and Minnie and her friends are dressed in their favorite costumes to celebrate the season!
  • Lastly, I put a poll out in the group and asked the listeners what their favorite backstory was. The options were Kali River Rapids, The Disney Railroads, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Expedition Everest, Tower of Terror, or something else. In the voting, the Tower of Terror and Haunted Mansion tied! It wasn’t even close for the rest, those two backstories received 78% of the vote!
