In this Rewind, Kyle speaks with The Daily Shows' Desi Lydic about the comedy news program’s coverage of Indecision 2024. The comedian (who happens to be from the same hometown of Louisville, KY as Kyle) discusses her journey of being inspired and obsessed with late 90s SNL to finding her comedy path after moving to Los Angeles where she would land roles in Not Another Teen Movie, Legally Blonde 2, and MTV’s Awkward. Lydic goes on to talk about auditioning three times before getting the nod from The Daily Show just as Trevor Noah became the host and arriving on the staff three months pregnant, as well as what it was like during 2023’s celebrity-hosted rotating desk era, and now being knee deep in Indecision 2024. The two then touch on Mitch McConnell’s announcement that he’s stepping back, women’s reproductive rights, and her recent interview with Jason Isbell.
