The Denver Broncos had their chances throughout the game, including overtime. In the end the late season surging Cincinnati Bengals were too much for the Denver Broncos and their hopes of locking up a playoff birth. HC Sean Payton had a chance to go for the win at the end of regulation, but chose for overtime, since a tie or win would lock up a team playoff birth.
