282: Revamp, Refresh, and Reorganize Your Business

Published 1 year, 7 months ago
Description

Happy New Year! It's time to spruce up your business, and this is a replay of one of our very favorite episodes (originally episode 178) because the checklist in here is just as good every single January. This one is packed with ideas, so we want to say up front: you don't need to do all of these things. Just pick a few that are bugging you the most and start there.

We got such a huge response when we asked listeners what they wanted to revamp this year that we had a hard time fitting it all in. So we're covering everything from cleaning out your database and photos, to refreshing your business assets like your headshot, logo, and bio, to setting up your tax plan and tracking your numbers, to revamping your actual daily routines and mindset. If your car, your inbox, or your brain feels a little cluttered heading into the new year, this episode is basically a giant permission slip to get it all sorted, a little at a time.

Here's what we cover in this episode: -Why cleaning your database, email list, and CRM first sets the tone for the rest of your sprucing -Updating and re-reading your email templates so the wording still sounds like you -Clearing out your phone's notes app, photos, and shared drives -Tidying your Trello or CRM pipeline, including what to do with stalled buyer leads -Optimizing intake forms and seller contact sheets so they actually get filled out -Scheduling a fresh headshot and making a list of everywhere your photo lives online -Picking (and sticking with) your brand colors and logo without overspending -Checking your Google Business profile and why client review photos are an underused gem -Restocking closing gifts, buyer and seller folders, and your vendor list -Updating your bio everywhere it lives, from your website to Realtor apps -Cleaning your signs, refreshing your website, and auditing your SEO and landing pages -Setting up or updating your business bank account, tax plan, and business budget -Unsubscribing from apps and subscriptions you're not using anymore -Starting a numbers note to track your database size, followers, and savings over time -Checking your mindset, sleep, and motivation, and figuring out what you actually want to do versus what you think you should do -Revamping your home anniversary and birthday plans so they're sustainable long term -Why over-tracking personal details about clients can feel contrived instead of thoughtful -Building a simple, repeatable database contact plan you'll actually stick to -Using email instead of social media to actually reach your audience (with a real example of 10x the response) -Revamping your listing marketing plan and daily follow-up routine
