15 Sandra Tanner, Great-Great-Granddaughter of Brigham Young with James Walker (Part 2)

In this episode, James Walker continues his interview with Sandra Tanner, great-great-granddaughter of the Mormon Prophet Brigham Young. Sandra left the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and became an evangelical Christian. She and her late husband, Jerald, have been recognized as some of the world's leading critics of early Mormon history and theology. Together, they founded Utah Lighthouse Ministry in downtown Salt Lake City, a Christian outreach to Latter-day Saints that Sandra directs.

PART 2 of 2 - The Changing World of Mormonism: In part two of this interview, James and Sandra discuss some of the major changes in the doctrines and scriptures of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

  • Why were all black people denied entrance into the Mormon temple before 1978?

  • When and why did Mormons discontinue the doctrine of polygamy or "plural wives"?

  • When did "Mormon" become a bad word to Latter-day Saints?

  • What are some of the other recent changes in LDS practices and policies?
