House Republicans are fuming at Speaker Mike Johnson’s handling of an end-of-year measure to extend government funding until March, saying it is actually an omnibus! Three months ago the Speaker said there would not be a Christmas omnibus. That was around the same time US Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) predicted, once again, that there would be. He says leadership always uses Christmas as a way to get it passed without lawmakers even knowing what's in the bill because everyone wants to get out of DC before the holiday.
