Jansen soundly defeated all her opponents in Monday’s federal byelection - getting more than three times as many votes as Liberal Candidate Madison Fleischer. The loss for the Liberals comes as another blow to the Justin Trudeau government…on the same day Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland quit cabinet. Voter turnout in this byelection was extremely low.
