562: Tommy Masters has been named Golf Digest Top 100 instructor multiple times. Among the great pieces of advice he shares in this episode is acknowledging that occasionally (or in host Fred Greene’s case frequently) you will have bad shots. Don’t brood over them, don’t even get upset. See a bad shot as an exciting challenge. Focus on how you will get out of trouble. Just remember Fred’s favorite saying “Never follow a bad shot with a stupid shot!” Also, Tommy advices to practice a variety of shots with each club so that you won’t be intimidated by tough situations.
