Preserving Idaho's Farmlands with David Anderson

Episode 253 Published 1 year, 3 months ago
Description

David Anderson works for American Farmland Trust and actively helps landowners voluntarily enter into agreements that prohibit development of their land in perpetuity. Development rights are naturally a valuable thing, so why a landowner would voluntarily relinquish his or her rights to develop or sell developable land has been a mystery to me. David did an amazing job of explaining not just why people would want to do this, but the huge problem we’ll be in if our Ag land continues to disappear from a municipal taxation standpoint. Enjoy!
