Description
The gospel today sums up quite accurately the response God gets from man to His overtures of love and salvation. Jesus laments about their deafness. Actually, He is disappointed by our deafness to the signs of His love and invitation to love Him in return. To His invites to repent, we postpone doing something about it. We come up with excuses of some sort to avoid committing ourselves to do His Will for us. But He does not back down. He perseveres in inviting us to repent and prepare for Christmas and for His second coming.
