Today’s episode will introduce some of the most interesting and groundbreaking bands within the Shibuya-kei genre. The name Shibuya-kei literally means “Shibuya style.”

Since the dawn of Shibuya-kei, the genre has strayed away from the jazz and Eurobeat sound, venturing into electronica, house, and now even ambiance music. Many of the artists on this list are still making music within the revamped Shibuya-kei genre today.
