Emma is an Executive at Orfield Laboratories Inc., the nation's only independent, multi-sensory design research and consulting firm, working in architecture, design, and product development. As a multi-disciplinary lab, Orfield consults in each area of design as related to human perception, including Acoustics, AV, Lighting, Daylighting, Thermal Comfort, and Indoor Air Quality. In each of these areas, the firm's orientation is perceptual comfort, designing spaces and products that are low in stimulus and therefore perceptually comfortable for the user.
