Description
I’m back! Although I loved having a weekend off to celebrate with family and take some time for myself, I am thrilled to share another great Legal Lens episode with you!
Joining me are two amazing attorneys, community leaders and policy makers, whose work is a vital part of our Los Angeles community.
Attorney Capri Maddox is the first Executive Director of the Los Angeles Civil + Human Rights and Equity Department - which is actively working towards reducing bias and injustices while leveling the playing field through community engagement, equity initiatives, and upward mobility programming..
Attorney Michael Lawson is the President & CEO of the Los Angeles Urban League and Chair of the LA Civil Rights Department Reparations Advisory Commission - a blue-ribbon task force comprised of leading voices in activism, academia, law, and racial justice, which will advise the City on a future reparations pilot program for a group of Black residents.
