99. Public Safety, Migrant & Asylum Seeker Initiatives in LA w/ Attorney Brian K. Williams, Esq.
Description
As of mid-October, more than 130,600 migrants had arrived in New York City since the spring of 2022, a situation that compelled mayor Eric Adams to declare a humanitarian crisis.
With the migrant situation gripping cities across the US, the question remains: What are some of the initiatives and approaches to this issue in cities like Los Angeles?
Join me on the Legal Lens show, where I'm incredibly excited to have City of Los Angeles Deputy Mayor for Public Safety, Attorney Brian K. Williams as my guest.
We dive into the successful strategies that enabled California, with the support and leadership of cities like Los Angeles, to process and release over 472,000 migrants at the border from April 2021 to September 2023.
