Come to Me, All You Who Labor
Published 1 year, 5 months ago
Description
I recall in a neighborhood there was a big house with its obviously wealthier occupants. We all wanted to make friends with the children of that family. Imagine being able to enter and make use of the facilities in their large dwelling, namely, swimming pool, billiard table, pingpong table, and so forth. This rich neighbor is our Lord Jesus. He extends this invite to us to go to Him. I would drop everything to accept and go to His invitation. Let us do that with our prayer time, with our time with the family, with our friends we need to help or assist in doing something, to do something good and helpful for the others, etc. The Lord always invites us to something larger than ourselves. We do get distracted though, and we waste the many invites He sends us each day. Many times we get exhausted because we mind ourselves too much. What we need is to trust more in the Lord and abandon everything to His providence. We need to rest in Him more.
