Inside the fraudulent sales of Shohei Ohtani’s baseball cards by former interpreter Ippei Mizuhara
Description
Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers is in the news with more off-the-field drama, this time fighting against his former interpreter and confidant Ippei Mizuhara once again. Mizuhara, who pleaded guilty to bank and tax fraud early in the year, is accused of fraudulently purchasing upwards of $325,000 worth of Ohtani’s baseball cards, according to The Athletic.
Meanwhile, the rest of the NL West does their best to compete with the Dodgers: San Diego considers trading Luis Arraez; San Francisco interested in Corbin Burnes; Arizona goes shopping for a new closer.
Plus, the Athletics take a step closer to finalizing the details of their new ballpark in Las Vegas this week. Are they destined to fare better than the Tampa Bay Rays?
