Description

Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's an underrated part of the Steelers' offensive success: taking care of the football.

It's no surprise that the Steelers, with their high-priced defense full of stars in their primes, is among the NFL leaders in taking the ball away. But what the team has been doing in the turnover department on offense has been equally impressive, especially at quarterback, where both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson have dramatically cut down their turnovers from years past.

Wilson has never thrown many interceptions, but his 1.4% interception rate this season is the second-best of his career. Fields, meanwhile, could throw interceptions on his next three pass attempts and still have his career-best rate.

Alan breaks it down.
